Today’s economy has been trying the sustainability of most businesses. One of the keys to a business’ success is its ability to establish credibility. It is highly important to gain your prospective, past and present customers’ trust; trust that would make your past customers convince your present customers to stay and encourage more prospective customers to get in to your business. That said, you must value your customers’ feedback hence you should find a way to obtain those feedback. One of few ways of obtaining your customers’ feedback is through testimonials. It has been the most effective tool of marketing.
A testimonial is a documented recommendation (may be in a form of a hard copy letter or a section in a website) from a satisfied customer affirming a business’ good performance, quality of work, and experience.
Testimonials can help your business to multiply exponentially. As a business professional, it should be your main objective to always keep a good reputation of your business and your products. In the event of complaints, you should be there to act promptly to tell your customer that you will are there to ensure resolution is given to their problem. In other words, always keep a good publicity.
Now the leg work; you have to figure out ways on how to get those testimonials posted on your business corner. Either you go out the streets to reach out to your customers and gain feedback of the products they have purchased or service they have experienced for the day or through website blogging. This time around, marketing can be viral due to the capabilities and advantages of the internet. Most blog and websites have a section that you can leave feedback.
The best example of a testimonial that will create an impact is a testimonial that will emphasize the quantifiable value a customer received after using a product or a service. A customer using the same product will be able to relate or may discover the usage of the product while it will encourage other people to give it a try.
Indeed, testimonials can make or break your business. Most businesses would most likely have the same agenda as yours hence they probably have thought of coming up with a testimonials section on their website. That idea can be helpful to you. That will show you what’s in your competitors’ business (i.e. product deal, prices, extras and freebies); something that will be of value to you to be competitive. As mentioned earlier, building trust to keep a good reputation should be a top priority of a business organization.
Make sure you to talk to your customers now to obtain their precious testimonials!
