Resveratrol

Resveratrol is one of those supplements which can be added to one’s daily diet as it has positive effects on the human body. Resveratrol is a vegetative antioxidant present in red wine; obtained from the vines, roots, seeds and most importantly the skin of grapes. Owing to its healthful benefits, medical practitioners generally recommend drinking red wine (about 4 oz.) with dinner as a daily dose. Red wine has been researched to have disease preventing attributes. It can reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The proof can be seen in the French who consume wine daily and easily support their high-calorie diet without major risks of heart ailments. Resveratrol is a major factor in making red wine healthy and friendly for human consumption. For non-drinkers, resveratrol supplements are a good option. The researches carried out so far have not revealed any side effects of using these supplements.

The benefits are numerous; as a result the popularity and demand are ever-increasing. The antioxidants present in resveratrol help prevent premature aging. The growing problem of early aging is occurring mainly due to harmful effects of pollutants in the environment. Resveratrol helps replace the dead cells and maintain the health of normal cells.

Another important benefit of resveratrol is that it functions as an anti-mutagen. Anti-mutagens are substances which defend and protect the body cells from the destructive action of “free radicals”. It is these free radicals which promote the growth of detrimental cancerous cells in the human body. The contact of normal body cells with free radicals leads to abnormal growth or cancer in the cells.

Resveratrol is also known to promote anti-inflammatory activity. Although there are various synthetic anti-inflammation drugs and medicines available; but frequent use of these can result in adverse side effects, health problems and tolerance to the ingredients of the drug or medicine. This is where the goodness of supplements comes in; these can be used repeatedly without any harmful effects. Chronic inflammation can become a root cause for cancer and heart disease; resveratrol intake can keep these critical illnesses at bay.

The other advantages of resveratrol are that it reduces weight gain, risk of obesity and other fat associated complications. It also reduces the possible risks of life threatening disorders and diseases like diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer and Parkinson’s disease. In general, resveratrol supports and boosts body’s immune system to help fight illnesses.
Do not deprive your body of the nutritional benefits of resveratrol; whether you decide to take it in the form of red wine or the supplements, do make it a part of your routine diet and experience the value it can add to your healthy living.

The best thing to do when taking resveratrol is to have the odd glass of red wine also. This way you are effectively doubling up on the active ingredient (which is absolutely fine), and you will get the results you are looking for even faster.

It was actually my nutritionist who recommended this, so i guess it has to be right!

OMG – I was told exactly the same thing. Apparently the amount of the antioxidant you receive from taking Resveratrol is enhanced if you drink red wine at the same time, so i gave this a try and definitely felt better for it.

My nutritionist said to take this, and just 1 glass of red wine – so obviously you shouldn’t drink excessively lol

But i do recommend this product, and would be happy to offer my testimonial for the Resveratrol brand.

Are you sure its not the red wine which is making you feel better, instead of the Resveratrol? After all, the same active ingredient appear in both products???

  4. Adrianna says:

Well, the thing is that ive been drinking both red and white wine for a number of years. It wasn’t until i started taking this product alongside it that I actually felt 10 x better.

That is what convinces me that indeed it is the product which has most of the effect.

  5. Claire says:

Fair enough – I might give this a go myself and let you know how i get on. I don’t usually drink red wine, so that’s why i thought it might have been that :-)

Off to the liquor store I go!!

    ;-)
