Five Basic Skin Care Types
If you understand the five basic skin care types it will help you take the best possible care of you. These skin types are determined by how little or how much oil it produces.
Oily-Usually, the surface of it shines in the light. Furthermore, the pores are usually enlarged and often results in blackheads and blemishes. The surface of it is usually tight-too tight.
Combination-Usually, the surface is dry on the cheeks and oily on the T-zone (bridge of nose, forehead, etc.) Usually it has the best texture and circulation. Sometimes it is called normal skin.
Sensitive-This type is thin with fine pores. It is more prone to allergic reactions such as rashes, and often a person flushes easily who is diagnosed of this type. Broken capillaries are also another characteristic of this kind.
Dry-Usually, the surface of it is tight, especially after cleansing. This could be also because poor cleansers leave a film on the face or body. Usually the surface is very dull, almost like the color of ashes, or perhaps faded.
Sun damaged-It appears wrinkled, and around the jawbone or cheeks, it feels slack. The texture is often leathery, and contains broken capillaries.
Correcting Skin Problems
